Bought this skirt for family member that is into dancing. The skirt offered here by Discount Dance Supply is a child's version of the skirt, and apparently, very short.
My daughter needed a character skirt to use for the summer program at the Royal Ballet in London.
Look carefully-- the sizes listed are the LENGTH of the skirt, not a general size. It actually fit my daughter (size 12/14) well and came just below the calf on her.
It's too early to see if that pans out, though it would be nice. Lewis described as the American Adam": “an individual emancipated from history, happily bereft of ancestry, untouched and undefiled by the usual inheritances of family and race; an individual standing alone, self-reliant and self-propelling, ready to confront whatever awaited him with the aid of his own unique and inherent resources.” (Dargis and Scott also align Katniss with James Fenimore Cooper's Natty Bumppo, an independent loner who defends the frontier but is never truly part of it.) But isn't an individual standing alone, "self-reliant and self-propelling, ready to confront whatever awaited him [or her] with the aid of his own unique and inherent resources" exactly what a good young adult novel character IS?

I think people are confused about the size of these skirts. 24" falls below knee and fits waist of slim 12 year old. Looked around all the sites and found that these skirts could be quite pricey.
You can see the sizing clearly on the seller's website. Found this one here and am very pleased to have gotten it. I ordered the longest length which was as pictured (just below the knee) but the waist was very small. It would stretch bigger but it lost movement of the fabric.
